Nextech Venture launches the first "Global Oncology Venture Event"

Nextech Venture Ltd., the investment manager of the world's first oncology investment fund, based in Zurich, Switzerland, launches the "Global Oncology Venture Event". This yearly event will bring together experts within the field of oncology from Biotech, Pharma, investment banking, venture capital, government, and science at a cocktail reception. The goal is to promote the development of cancer drugs, to stimulate the investment in cancer drug development, and to foster the start-up environment in oncology. The first two events will be held on September 13, 2007 in Seoul, Korea and in October in Boston, USA. Other cities will follow.
Prof. Yung-Jue Bang, College of Medicine & Cancer Research Institute, Seoul National University, Korea will be the keynote speaker at the event in Seoul. Prof. David Livingston, Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, Boston, USA will talk at the Boston event. Dr. Alfred Scheidegger, Founding Partner and CEO of Nextech Venture and Dr. Myoung-Ok Kwon, Partner, will introduce the world's first investment fund dedicated exclusively to oncology companies.
